Just ahead of the holidays, Paul & Taylor of Pivot Pool Products met with Luis Alvarez, the Executive Director of Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, to present $3,200.00 for allocation towards swim lesson for kids in foster care. With drowning being the leading cause of death for children ages 1-4, Pivot Pool Products made a pledge in June 2022 to contribute a portion of summertime Ariel sales to help ensure that kids already struggling through difficult circumstances do not become part of the statistic. Thank you to all of pool owners who adopted solar-powered pool skimming robot this summer – their purchases via arielpool.com fueled the fundraiser!

In Arizona, there are 12,500 children in foster care, all which have limited resources to activities that lead to quality experiences. As just one example of the resources that AFFCF provides, the organization partners with eight Arizona swim schools, spanning 16 locations, which offer private and semi-private swim lessons. In the last 12 months, AFFCF has invested over $116,000.00 in statewide swim lessons for children in foster care.

AFFCF funds a variety of social, athletic, and educational activities for children in foster care that are not otherwise funded by the state or other programs. As children in foster care get older, the organization also provides resources and support for them to gain careers and education.
