What is one of the proudest moments you’ve had working at SPT?

My first day on the job I was immediately welcomed  as if I were family and I’ll never forget that. That moment made me proud to be part of this team. Leadership values employee opinions and feedback, and you just can’t get better than that.

What is the toughest professional challenge you’ve faced and how did you overcome that challenge?

I left a position at a job that I held for nearly two decades at ASU as a concessions manager and warehouse assistant. Fortunately, I found a place here at Solar Pool Technologies which is easily the best job I have ever had.

Growing up, what did you aspire to be?

A ninja, a doctor and/or a primatologist. When I was very young I stumbled upon Jane Goodall on National Geographic. I looked at her job and was like, “dude, that would be awesome.”

What’s the oddest job you have ever had?

When I was 14 my mother, sister and I were stars in a Holiday Inn commercial.

What is your favorite drink to sip by the pool?

For water related activities like being by the pool or going down the river, I like Coors Lite. It seems to stay cooler.

What is the best advice you ever received?

Take care of yourself so that you may serve others.

What are you known for?

Circa 1999, my friends and I formed a group called Core 3 –  we opened up for Wu Tang Clan and some other fairly high profile music groups once upon a time.

If you could choose anyone, who would be your mentor?

Kobe Bryant. He obsesses over his skill and practices repeatedly to create muscle memory. In addition to playing, he shoots in excess of 10,000 shots each day – he’s got a mentality that no one is going to outwork him.

What are your favorite things to do outside of work?

Eat. Drink. Be Merry.

What is your anthem? (Favorite song)

Fistful of Steel by Rage Against the Machine

Favorite genre to listen to on a pool day?

Anything Uptempo. A mix of all genres.

What is your favorite quote?

I can accept failure, everyone fails at something. But I can’t accept not trying.” – Michael Jordan

Canon ball, belly flop or dive?

Cannon ball, for sure.
