How can a Solar-Breeze NX2 save you money?

//How can a Solar-Breeze NX2 save you money?

In last week’s blog, we talked about how investing in a Solar-Breeze NX2 can result in significant savings in energy costs for pool owners.  But, that’s not the only savings that Solar-Breeze customers see when they add a solar-powered robotic pool skimmer to their pool.

Another area where Solar-Breeze owners save is pool chemicals. The Solar-Breeze NX2 holds two Tri-Chlor tablets, which distribute chlorine as it travels the surface of the pool. Since the Solar-Breeze operates all day while the sun is shining when most pool filtration systems are idle, 90 – 95% of debris and organic material is removed before it has a chance to decay and produce bacteria in the sunlight. This results in less bacteria growth in the pool. We’ve heard from some of our customers that since adding a Solar-Breeze to their pool, their water tests better than it ever has.  Keeping bacteria growth to a minimum means less chemicals are needed to keep pool water clean, balanced and swim-ready.

Having a Solar-Breeze NX2 in your pool also means that algae food (all kinds of organic matter that blows into your pool) gets picked up before the algae can start feeding on it.  (Read more about how algae grows in pools here.) Once algae takes hold of your pool, it can be costly to remove.  If any algae remains, repeated algaecide treatments will be necessary.  This can become an expensive problem to solve. The continual skimming done by a robotic pool skimmer throughout the day can save pool owners money and time when it comes to algae growth.

Some Solar-Breeze customers find that the Solar-Breeze NX2 is the missing piece that allows them to manage their pool cleaning on their own.  The continuous skimming, when combined with the pool’s filtration system and a vacuum, can keep the pool clean with much less work required – even with reduced pool pump run time!  Many of our customers have been able to cut the expense of having their pools professionally cleaned by putting a Solar-Breeze in their pool.

Our goal has always been to make pool ownership easier and more enjoyable for our customers. We also think reducing the carbon footprint of pools is pretty cool, too. If you have questions about our products, please let us know – we’re always happy to help.

    We have 2 shallow steps that the NX2 keeps getting stuck on. I’m trying to raise the water line in our pool by 1″ to see if that helps as per your booklet.
    If not is there something we can attach to the nx2 so it will not get stuck like a small rubber bumper on each side of tray?

    We love this little hard working solar skimmer. We live in LV and desert winds bring palm tree/other tree debris and dust into our pool constantly. As promised our pool is now always clean and swim ready! We have 2 shallow steps that the NX2 keeps getting stuck on. I’m trying to raise the water line in our pool by 1″ to see if that helps as per your booklet.

      Hi Dian! Thanks for reaching out! We do have an attachment for you if raising the water level doesn’t allow th NX2 to clear your steps. Could you email us at customerservice@solar-breeze.com so we can get these ordered for you?
